I want to know what (handheld) microphones will connect to my laptop because I want to start recording songs on my laptop.
I don’t mean the computer microphones like the one’s used to chat (http://www.acme.eu/items/images/bdeabb5c81Microphone_200 pcs.jpg). I mean the handheld microphones that are used in recording studios (http://www.lakewoodconferences.com/direct/dbimage/50229187/Microphone.jpg)
OR….
Do I need to get a special device in order for a handheld mic. to work on my laptop?
I am a first time computer recorder, so if you have any advice, I would highly appreciate it. Ex: what’s a good recording software, what’s a good mic.

I have downloaded some number of free ebook but the sound quality is VERY BAD!!! The bitrate is only 8kbps. I try to convert it to MP3 or WAV by upgrading the Bitrate to 64kbps and frequency to 24,000 Hz but the results is not very satisfactory. Do u know, are there any ideas to improve the sound quality?

In my convert program, there are Max Bitrate (from 8 – 320) and Quality (from 0 – 9) under VBR. I doesn’t know, what is that for! If i selete those, the converted files will be huge… any ideas??

the mp3 player is a sanza fuse, it will hold 5 books, 5 movies, 1000 songs, 1000 pics,fm radio,voice recorder.

Mk, I have a Sylvania MP3 player and I have like no idea on how to download eBooks for it. I love to read but, I’m also on the move alot so I never have time to sit home and ***** open a good book, so that’s when I thought I could just get eBooks for my MP3 which leads me to How Do I Download eBooks For My MP3 Player?
