Copyright about ebook software music and else?

hey
i’m from country that dont have any copyright law. but i want to immigrate to another country that has copyright law. so i dont know about this. i downloaded alot of ebooks, softwares and music by peer2peer softwares. so are these things make me a trouble with copyright there? can you describe about this subject?

What rights does a purchaser of an e-book have?

If I purchase an e-book with resale rights, I know I have the ability to resell the e-book. However, am I allowed to edit the e-book before I sell it? What rights do I have as a purchaser to use, modify, distribute and/or sell the e-book that I have purchased?

Is it illegal for someone to use a picture of you as the cover of an e-book without you’r permission?

I have recently divorced my husband. His mother is a relationship counselor (irony noted.) She has an e-book which she is selling and has used a wedding picture as the cover. She has not asked me if it is ok. Is this legal? Could I sue her?

(I live in England so only UK law is applicable.)

Is it illegal to write an e-book about something illegal?

For example, if I write a book entitled, “How to Rob a Liquor Store” and explain in precise details what steps need to be taken to achieve this, can I be fined? That’s not going to be the title of my book, btw.

Can I read a copyrighted e-book downloaded from the internet for learning purposes only ?

I really cannot afford the cost of the book, so can I download it and read it.

Does showing the cover of a book you have for sale on eBay violate the electronic reproduction prohibition?

I like to buy and sell used art instruction books on eBay. Now one of the artists I know says doing this violates her copyright because she specifically states that no electronic reproduction of her materials is permitted.

I want to copyright an ebook to hand out but I do not want anyone to use it as their own. What is the quickest or cheapest way to do this ?

Where can I download eBooks on Forensic Interviewing?

I am currently researching Forensic Interviewing techniques from the initial planning stages, the actual interview, detecting deception, interrogation and confession.
I was hoping not to pay for the material. There are so much info on the w3, and the material I have found thus far in eBooks was more useful.

Is it legal for individuals to sell PDF copies of books through amazon.com?

A seller is attempting to send me a PDF version of the book I purchased through amazon. First of all, it’s not even the book in the description and secondly the book’s supposed to include a CD.

But I’m also fairly confident that it’s just plain illegal to sell an electronic copy of any book. I’m emailing the seller for my money back right now, but is this something I should notify amazon about?
